OnePlace Solar — Installer FAQs (USA)

Answers to the most common questions from solar installers across the United States who use our CAD engineering and permitting services.

What services does OnePlace Solar provide?
We create complete solar engineering plan sets for residential and commercial projects, including site plans, electrical diagrams, structural drawings, and documentation required for AHJ permit approval and utility interconnection.
Do you work with installers nationwide?
Yes — we support licensed solar and electrical contractors in all 50 U.S. states. Our designs are tailored to local AHJ codes, utility requirements, and NEC standards.
What is included in your standard permit plan set?
A typical set includes:
  • Cover sheet & project notes
  • Site layout with array positioning
  • Single-line and three-line electrical diagrams
  • Structural details and load calculations (if required)
  • Labeling and safety sheets
  • AHJ- and utility-specific forms
How fast can I get my designs?
Standard turnaround is 2–3 business days for residential and 3–5 business days for small commercial projects. Rush delivery is available.
Do you handle utility interconnection applications?
Yes — upon request, we prepare and submit utility interconnection applications along with all required documentation.
Do you supply equipment or perform installations?
No — we do not sell hardware or perform installations. We work exclusively as your engineering partner to provide accurate, code-compliant designs.
How do I submit a project?
You can submit project details via our online portal at Oneplacesolar.com or email your project package (utility bill, site photos, project specs) to info@oneplacesolar.com.
What information do you need to start a design?
We typically need: customer address, site photos, utility bill, proposed equipment list (if available), and any relevant AHJ or utility requirements.
Can you revise plans if AHJ or utility requests changes?
Absolutely. We provide free revisions for any AHJ/utility comments related to our original plan set until your permit and interconnection are approved.
Do you provide structural or PE (Professional Engineer) stamps?
Yes — structural and electrical PE stamps are available in most states. Additional fees may apply.
